Out in Eurotrash/Suburban area where the kids go to school, I had seen what looked like a mall with a giant grocery store included. Yesterday my new friend Lori (a man, despite the girls name) at the Victor Hugo Market told me the store out there was the best place to shop for most things and they would have the rolling grocery movers that I'd seen so many using around town. Today after drop off we made a stop.
It was the biggest grocery store Id ever been in. Seriously?? Giant grocery stores are kind of our thing, but not even the biggest super Walmart could compare. There was junk food, but less and not as "extreme" of junk food, if that makes sense. Sure there were chips, but none that actually said the word extreme like "Extreme Nacho Cheese Blast" like they often do in the states.
Deleea, their cheese section was definitely larger than ours.
The eggs were not refrigerated. And everyone had brought their own reusable grocery bag.

Looks good and they even had Jack Daniels!! Might need some after navigating the store. With out your own bags were you able to carry out your groceries?
ReplyDeleteYes thats what curtis is doing in that last shot- he has a rolling cart we bought. People have them here and use them to go to and from the markets and grocery stores.they take them on the metro, too
ReplyDeleteWith every post I am finding it harder and harder not to move there with you. Cheese for daaaays!
ReplyDeleteIt cracked me up that their grocery store has a whiskey aisle! It was right next to the chocolate aisle!
