Walking Tour: Church Addition

After several days this week with not much more going on than laundry, cooking, cleaning and childcare (and you guys like hearing about that then I should be blogging in Oklahoma, too) we had a day to explore the city. As annoying as the language barrier is, as difficult as it for me to ride the over crowded metro, drag the kids through the cramped streets and find foods that are healthy/not weird enough for me, man, Toulouse did not disappoint today! We walked for about 5-6 hours (with one break in the middle) and there was soooo much beauty to see that I will break it up into several days and posts.
This one is for Beckie, church secretary extraordinaire. As the chair of the interior design team, can we remodel the church to look like one of these??
The two churches featured  (Cathedral St. Etienne and Notre-Dame de la Daurade) are both over 900 years old! St. Etienne had long speakers like our church is looking into getting so I couldnt help but take a picture. We went to  third church but they were just beginning Mass (it happened to be English speaking!) and we couldn't stay for Mass (although they kindly invited us) and we didn't want to disrupt their worship so we will see it another time. Notre-Dame was having choir practice and it was beautiful! I took a video of the choir and I will try to get Curtis to figure out how to post it.

  1. Problem is that that your church has n it grown up. In about 850 more years the church in Inola will look like that as well!!
